Tom, a native of Bronx, New York is the Buyer Team Leader with the Kim Mixon Team. Tom is experienced in all facets of the buyer process and leads the buyer side of our team. He unveils his passion for real estate through the relationships he forms and nurtures with his clients. In 2014, Tom completed a successful seven-year professional hockey career and now comes ready to win everyday with the KM Team.
Tom graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont with a degree in Psychology. Now as a fully-licensed real estate agent in both Georgia & Alabama, he brings
intelligence and a gritty work ethic to his Buyer Specialist role. Tom brings peace of mind to buyers as they traverse through the potentially stressful process of buying a home — from home showings to contract negotiations and signings. His goal is to provide value for perhaps the biggest financial decision a buyer and their family will make.
Tom, who once lived in Germany and the Netherlands, moved to Columbus in 2011 to play professional hockey for the now-defunct local team, the Columbus
Cottonmouths; now he’s focused on his passion for real estate. He loves spending time with his spouse Lindsey, their son Blake, daughter Claire and playing with their golden lab, Jax. Tom enjoys athletic pursuits of all kinds, including Crossfit, golf, and cycling, which makes him a great fit for the athletic culture at the Kim Mixon Team.

Meet Laura King, the ultimate multitasker and your go-to Buyer Specialist with The Kim Mixon Real Estate Team! From the City of Brotherly Love to the charming streets of Columbus, GA, Laura has traveled all over the U.S., soaking up experiences and honing skills that make her a dynamo in the real estate world.
Armed with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from James Madison University and a solid background in marketing and consulting, Laura is a natural at connecting with people and truly understanding their needs. She’s driven by a deep passion for real estate and brings an incredible attention to detail to every home search. Laura’s expertise lies in turning the often-daunting process of house hunting into an exciting adventure, using her skills to find the perfect match for each client.
What excites Laura most about real estate? Pretty much everything! She loves the thrill of the hunt, the challenge of understanding market trends, and, most importantly, the joy of seeing her clients light up when they find “the one.” Laura is a fantastic listener and an enthusiastic cheerleader for her clients, guiding them every step of the way from house hunting to closing the deal.
When she’s not helping clients navigate the real estate market, Laura is busy exploring new places with her husband, Corey (an Acquisitions Major in the Army at Fort Moore), their two adventurous sons, Colton and Walker, and their beloved pets—Brady, a black lab mix, Moo, an orange tabby cat, and Monster, a black cat. She knows what it’s like as a military spouse to juggle the complexities of moving, especially with young children and furry family members. Laura is committed to making the moving process as smooth as possible for both her military and civilian clients alike.

Kenny enjoys a peaceful life with his wife Brenda and their Pocket Pit, Spot Stubbs, in their Harris County lake house that Brenda designed.

A Columbus native through and through, Michelle Williams Hudson has deep roots in the community she serves. She attended the University of Georgia, earning a degree in Public Relations in 1999 before launching her career in PR and advertising in Atlanta. But Columbus called her home, and she pivoted into a decade-long career in education—teaching elementary school and later substituting while raising her children. Her background in education sharpened her ability to communicate clearly, stay organized, and guide others through big transitions—all of which translate seamlessly into her work in real estate.
In 2022, Michelle followed her passion for helping people by earning her real estate licenses in both Georgia and Alabama. Now, as a Listing Specialist with The Kim Mixon Real Estate Team, she brings a deep knowledge of the local market, a strong commitment to client success, and a personal touch that makes every transaction feel seamless and well-guided. She thrives on building lasting relationships, serving as a trusted advisor, and ensuring her clients feel confident in every decision they make.
Beyond real estate, Michelle stays active in both mind and body. She and her husband, Jeff, have been married since 2001 and are proud parents to Ella, who is heading to UGA, and Avery, who keeps life exciting as a teenager. A joyful spirit with a get-it-done mindset, Melissa K. Thomas brings a rare blend of heart, hustle, and decades of client-centered consulting experience to The Kim Mixon Real Estate Team. A lifelong Lee County local, Melissa was born and raised in Salem, AL and now calls Smiths Station home, where she and her high school sweetheart (now husband of 21 years!) are living out their hobby farm dreams on six beautiful acres. Life is full and lively in the Thomashousehold—with four kids, four dogs (Coal, Cooper, Moose, and Taffy), three cats (Quill, Salem, and Legs), a parakeet named Daisy, and a small chicken empire complete with three roosters and ten hens. (Yes, she knows all their names. No, she won’t admit it.)
Melissa and her husband have raised a vibrant crew: Taylor, Grady, Anniston, and Zoey, and you’ll often find her on the sidelines cheering for Zoey’s Smiths United soccer team—or catching a Columbus United FC game with the same energy.
Before stepping into real estate, Melissa built a 25-year career at TSYS, where she leads high-stakes testing teams and serves as a trusted consultant to one of the company’s largest credit card clients. She is known for delivering thoughtful solutions, managing complex projects, and building meaningful relationships—all skills that now make her a standout Buyer Specialist.
Her passion for real estate was sparked in 2018 during her own first-time home buying journey. She fell in love with every part of the process and realized how much joy there is in helping others navigate that same path.
